Your final grade combines your TMA score (30%) and your exam score (70%). Undergraduates generally need 40% and above overall to pass, except nursing programmes which require 50% and above; postgraduate programmes typically require 50% and above. (This confirms the 30/70 weighting used in our TMA Calculator above — the letter-grade bands shown there are still a general placeholder, not an official NOUN scale.)

Visit elearn.nou.edu.ng and log in with your matriculation number (lowercase) as both username and password. You'll be asked to change your password on first login. Note: your portal only becomes accessible after both course registration and exam registration are complete, and it can take about 2 working days to reflect.

You can register up to a maximum of 24 credit units per semester. It's mandatory to register all compulsory courses plus at least one elective.

You need a minimum Total Credit Earned of 120 (or 80 for direct-entry students), must pass all core courses plus at least one elective per semester, must complete a minimum of 8 semesters (6 for direct entry), and need a CGPA of at least 1.00 for undergraduate programmes (2.00 for postgraduate).

On the login page, click "Forgot Password," enter your NOUN official email address, and follow the reset link sent to your inbox (check spam too).

This is usually normal, not an error. Registered courses only reflect after both course and exam registration are complete, and changes can take up to 2 working days to appear.
